It’s me again!

Ok so here’s another experiment with the markers.  Even though it didn’t turn out how I expected I realized with this I LOVE THESE MARKERS! It’s like super blendy paint in  a pen.  I have to get used to the fact that the color dries completely different from how it goes down.  I do notice that the skin tone is very orange, but overall i really like this.  i wanna try some realism next…they just blend so purdy!

So I’ve come up with this really new nifty completely original idea.  Cute vegetables! huh, what do you mean that was so last con.  no no no, joey didn’t do it first, that was FRUIT, this is COMPLETELY different.  toatally, entirely, I mean, uh, er,  ummm….HE STOLE IT FROM ME!! IT WAS ALL MEEEEEEEEEE!

ok so as soon as color gets involved I totally forget how to do shading.  bummer…

She Strikes Again-With Promise of Repeat Performance

Hello Peoples,

So I think I’m am the most sporadic poster ever and usually post something completely off the wall or random.  Well I had a little talk with James today and became a little more inspired to quit being such a lazy whiner and actually get up an do something.  So I did, well after I went and saw Harry Potter.  It was great I have never seen any of the movies or read the books so it was 3 hours of incredibly confusing hell. with explosions.  but I digress.  Some of you may remember a half assed project that I’ve been swearing that I was going to do. Can you guess? Oh wait that’s everything I do!  Well it’s *drumroll*

I completed the first draft of the first (maybe two it’s kinda talkie) issue(s) of the comic.  Basically the whole set up for the story.  It needs basic editorial but I’m pretty happy with it, and plan on spending a great deal of time ACTUALLY completing it. and soon. so i can get back into the swing of submitting a comic to publishers again.  It’s kinda weird doing that after you’ve seen “the inside” but, hell, why not.  It is why I moved to Los Angeles. So here’s the art for page one, and expect more soon. I will be delayed by comic-con next week. ^_^

New arts from the lost militia (wo)man!

So most people thought that Creepy Carly had disappeared on the face of the Earth. well, the comic is still on hiatus, but the real life person is alive and well and has decided to pick up her pencil again after a year long “break” I love to draw portraits. I’d have to say that most of the people that have encountered me have gotten a steal of a deal with a $1 portrait. (y’know I drew about 300+ of those at WWLA 2008) so here is another portrait of a good friend of mine. I think this is worth more than $1!
